Description
I was tasked with creating a custom UI kit (a design system) for Radiant products like RAG and the Intranet. Since our design team didn’t have an existing kit, another designer and I built one from scratch using an atomic design approach. We ended up developing over 40 components, from basic elements (atoms) to more complex pieces (molecules) and even a sample template page.
Context
When working with clients, each designer had their preferred UI Kit to use which led to clients being unintentionally biased towards screens based on the kit used. We hoped the kit would remove that bias by everyone using the same system as well as speeding up people's workflows by updating it with whatever they needed for the client they were on.
